# Grok playbooks

Grok is an AI assistant for chat, coding, image and video generation, and real-time answers from the web and X. It runs on grok.com, in iOS and Android apps and inside X. The Grok FAQ names SpaceXSI as the provider of the consumer service, while the developer API still runs under xAI.

## Good at

- Answers that draw on recent posts on X as well as the web
- Image and video generation through Grok Imagine
- Building on the API with built-in web search, X search and code execution tools

## Limits

- Paid plans share one weekly usage pool across products. When it runs out you buy extra credits or upgrade.
- Grok Imagine adds a watermark to images and videos that you cannot remove.
- Remote MCP is documented for the developer API. The consumer app docs do not mention MCP.
