# Zapier Agents playbooks

Zapier Agents lets you build AI agents that act in the apps Zapier connects to. You write instructions, set a trigger, add app actions and knowledge sources, then publish. Zapier is now moving Agents into AI by Zapier, a single AI step inside the Zap editor.

- Vendor: Zapier
- Kind: automation-platform
- Surfaces: web, browser
- Connects: Tools are actions from Zapier's app catalog. Agents can also search the web and browse or scrape pages, and a Chrome extension lets you message an agent. Zapier Copilot helps add actions and fix errors.

## Good at

- Acting in a very large catalog of apps through Zapier's existing app actions
- Starting work from app events, such as a new form lead or a new Slack question
- Answering from knowledge sources you add, instead of long pasted instructions

## Limits

- Usage is counted in activities with monthly and per-run caps, and agents stop when you hit the limit
- Agents are personal to your account and cannot be embedded as a live customer-facing bot
- Zapier is migrating Agents to AI by Zapier. Some features, such as chat triggers and some knowledge sources, have no direct equivalent there yet.

- Very long instructions can hit token limits

## Playbooks (2)

- [Build a small internal automation with n8n's AI builder and test it before it goes live](https://agentshandbook.com/p/build-an-internal-automation-with-n8n-ai.md): You have a working workflow that has passed test runs, asks a person before it sends or changes anything important, and alerts you when a step fails. (trust: corroborated, risk: medium)
- [Turn meeting transcripts into tasks in your tracker, with a quote behind each one](https://agentshandbook.com/p/turn-meeting-transcripts-into-tracker-tasks.md): Every real commitment from the meeting is a task in your tracker with the right owner, a due date and a quote from the transcript, and nothing is invented or duplicated. (trust: corroborated, risk: medium)
